Our Story

At Shree, every piece of jewelry tells a story—one of love, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty. Our journey began with Astha and Siddharth, whose story itself began long before Shree. They first met as schoolmates, nurturing a friendship that blossomed into love after years of knowing each other. Their bond grew even stronger during challenging times; amidst the solitude of the Covid-19 pandemic, Astha found herself sketching intricate jewelry designs, inspired by memories, nature, and her vivid imagination.

 

Astha, a self-taught jewelry designer, has a deep-rooted love for craftsmanship and storytelling. Having grown up in Bahrain, India, and the USA, she infuses the richness of these cultures into her designs. From a young age, she found beauty in the simplest of things—designing pots, handcrafting delicate rose bouquets from organza fabric as heartfelt gifts for her spiritual Guru and loved ones. Her passion for creation has always been instinctive, with nature’s effortless elegance continuing to inspire her.

 

Recognizing the beauty and potential of her designs, Siddharth, whose family proudly owns a 40-year legacy in the jewelry business, collaborated with skilled artisans within his family workshop to bring Astha’s sketches to life. Astha and Siddharth very soon got recognition from local boutique stores around Cambridge and Boston. 

 

Astha frequently visits their family-run jewelry workshop in India multiple times a year, meticulously selecting rare, one-of-a-kind gemstones—sparkling diamonds, vibrant tourmalines, and deep-hued sapphires—that guide and inspire her designs. Each gemstone becomes the heart of a piece, dictating its form and character. Astha especially adores designing delicate, thoughtfully detailed earrings, carefully sketching each piece before entrusting the skilled hands of their team to craft it into reality.
